Why facilities run inventory on BinCloud

See every bin, across every site, on one dashboard

Sort and compare inventory levels by location, region, or product — a single screen for one silo or a hundred vessels spread across several facilities.

Get a text or email before you run out

Automated alerts on low levels, high levels, or unexpected usage let you act before a shortage or an overfill, not after.

Turn level history into smarter buying

Usage trends and historical reports sharpen forecasting, time deliveries, and cut emergency freight — export-ready for accounting, compliance, or management.

Keep people off ladders and out of confined spaces

Levels read automatically from secure buildings or off-site, protecting workers and your facility while data stays locked down behind OAuth 2.0 authentication.

BinCloud reads from the sensors you already trust

BinCloud doesn’t measure anything itself—it displays data from BinMaster sensors on your vessels. The right sensor depends on the material, vessel, and environment, and that’s exactly what we spec. We stock sensors in Painesville and can quote the sensors and the software together.

FAQ

Both run the same kind of dashboards; the difference is where the data lives. BinCloud is a cloud subscription — nothing to host, accessible from any device, with multi-site rollups and automated alerts. Binventory 2.0 runs on your own local network as a webserver, so the data never leaves your building. Choose BinCloud if you have more than one location or want vendor-managed inventory; choose Binventory 2.0 if IT policy keeps data on-prem. We sell and support both.

BinCloud reads from BinMaster non-contact radars, ultrasonic sensors, guided wave radars, SmartBob weight-and-cable systems, and lasers — and it’s compatible with BinTrac weight-based systems. If you already have BinMaster sensors installed, in most cases they can feed BinCloud. Tell us what’s on your vessels and we’ll confirm.

Not necessarily. Wired and networked sensors send data back through your existing connection. For remote tanks and bins with no power or network, the wireless CNCR-300 radar runs on battery and sends readings straight to BinCloud — no on-site internet required. We’ll map the data path back to the cloud as part of speccing the system.

Yes — that’s a core reason facilities choose the cloud. View and sort bins by location, region, or product, and compare levels across vessels and facilities on one dashboard. Multi-site rollups are built in.

Yes, if you want them to. Role-based permissions let you grant visibility to employees, managers, suppliers, or vendors as needed. That’s the foundation for vendor-managed inventory — your supplier watches the bin and reorders before you run low, while you keep control of who sees what.

BinCloud is built on OAuth 2.0 authentication and secure cloud infrastructure, with role-based access so people only see what they should. For organizations that can’t put data in the cloud at all, Binventory 2.0 keeps everything on your local network.

We set it up with you. As your local distributor we spec the sensors, plan the data path, and get your bins showing up in BinCloud — and we’re a phone call away in Painesville for questions afterward, not a call center. Application engineering visits across Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Western New York are at no charge.

In most cases, yes. The heads and probes on your vessels are usually still doing their job; moving to BinCloud typically means subscribing to the cloud platform and, in some cases, adding a current-generation controller or gateway to get the data up. Tell us what’s installed and we’ll lay out an upgrade path that keeps the hardware you have.
