Features & Benefits

Penetrates dust, vapor, and condensation where ultrasonic sensors fail — 80 GHz radar reads through the worst plant environments.

Narrow beam angle aims precisely past flow streams, internal structure, and sidewall buildup.

Sealed flat-face antenna resists dust buildup and runs virtually maintenance-free for the life of the sensor.

BinCloud-ready for real-time inventory monitoring from any device — turn your silos into dashboards.

Mounting

The right mount matters. Roof angle, vibration, retrofit fittings, and Bluetooth accessibility all affect mount selection. Below are the common options. Not sure which is the right fit? Tell us about your application and we'll spec the right mount for you.

NCR-86 Mounts

NCR-86

Full-size radar mounts onto 3", 4", 6", or 8" flanges. Options for angled silo roofs, vibration-prone installations, and aiming-critical applications.

Flanged mounting plates — 3", 4", 6", 8" ANSI sizes for standard silo flanges
Swivel mounts — up to 10° adjustable aiming for flow-stream avoidance
Angled roof plates — 0°, 10°, 30°, 45° for angled silo tops
SmartBob-to-NCR adapter — retrofit kit when replacing a SmartBob with radar

CNCR

Each CNCR series mounts differently. Pick the row that matches your sensor:

CNCR-100 Series — cabled

1.0" or 1.5" threaded NPT mounting plates, wall-mount brackets (3.25" or 8"), ceiling bracket. Common spec: 1.5" NPT half-coupling on existing fittings.

CNCR-200 Series — threaded NPT

Installs directly through existing 1.5" NPT fittings — usually no additional hardware needed. This is the fastest retrofit path from a failed ultrasonic.

CNCR-300 Series — wireless

CNCR-320 mounts via 1.5" NPT. CNCR-390 uses adapter flange (3", 4", 6", 8") or 3" compression flange for tall silos.

CNCR-400 Series — sanitary

Hygienic tri-clamp and sanitary process connections for food, dairy, beverage, and pharmaceutical vessels. 316L stainless throughout.

Roof Angle

Silos with angled tops need angled mount plates. Mounting a 0° plate on a 10° roof aims the beam at the silo wall.

Bluetooth accessibility

The free BinMaster Sensor app reaches up to 80 ft. Make sure setup location is within range — no climb required.

Vibration

High-vibration locations (mills, crushers) may need rubber isolation gaskets to protect the sensor.

Existing fittings

Most retrofits work with existing 3", 4", or 1.5" NPT fittings. Confirm fitting size and pattern before ordering hardware.

Aiming for flow streams & internal structure

Aim the 4° beam past fill streams, agitators, and sidewalls. A 10° swivel mount usually fixes the issue — or call us with a photo of your silo interior and we'll spec it.

FAQ

NCR is the full-featured line with longer range (up to 393 ft). CNCR is the compact line — shorter range, smaller form factor, easier install. CNCR-300 adds battery/wireless.

Yes — that's the main reason for radar over ultrasonic. The 80 GHz signal is unaffected by dust, vapor, or steam.

NCR-86 can. Most CNCR variants are spec'd for one or the other — see the models pdfs to confirm.

Yes. BinMaster non-contact radars output standard 4-20 mA analog signals and support HART protocol for digital communication. Select CNCR models also support Modbus RTU and IO-Link. These signals integrate with virtually all major PLCs and DCS systems including Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and Honeywell. If you have a specific integration question, we can confirm compatibility before you order.
